On your way to Arcadia you will view some of the most beautiful scenery to be found anywhere.  Arcadia is located in the drift-less area or non-glaciated area. When approaching Arcadia from the east, west, and south you will encounter many beautiful vistas and rolling terrain formed during this period.  On your tour of the Arcadia area be sure to leave time for a trip south of town on Highway 93.  As you climb the hills you will be treated to some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere.  On Skyline Drive, the scenic overlooks offer you a fantastic view of the valleys, coulees, and family farms nestled in the lush countryside.

No visit to Arcadia would be complete without a tour of our beautiful 54 acre Memorial Park and its unique tribute to veterans of all wars and conflicts.  Stroll along Avenue of Heroes, which is handicap accessible, to witness exceptional memorial statues of the fighting men and women who gave so generously for the freedom we enjoy today.  It is an experience you will not find anywhere else, other than on a trip to Washington DC.

The walk is laid out as a time line depicting the history of Arcadia since 1856.  Each one meter block represents one year in history.  The walk begins near the rotunda at the west end of the park. It is 1856 and Arcadia has just been established as a community.

Walking east, you can follow the development of Arcadia through granite blocks placed in the walkway.  A number of flower planters have been placed in the walk. Each one designates a war or conflict in which the United States was involved.  The newest addition to the park is a large amphitheater that will host summer band concerts.

Memorial Park is also home to Arcadia Broiler-Dairy Days. This annual celebration of our agricultural heritage is held each Memorial Day weekend. Taste the best char-broiled chicken you have ever had. Sunday hosts a grand parade that is sure to please old and young alike. A part of the celebration also includes a Miss Arcadia Pageant. We boast that 3 of our young ladies have gone on to become Miss Wisconsin. During the summer there are many softball tournaments held at the Memorial Park ball fields. Kids Kingdom is another fine feature of the park that gives the youngsters a great place to unwind. Rounding out this fine park is a new Aquatic Center that features a zero depth entry pool with swimming lanes, a huge water slide, water geysers, and a picnic area.

Only 4 miles north of Arcadia on Highway 93 is beautiful Pietrek Park.  Situated along the Trempealeau River, this recently updated park has camper hookups, hot showers, rest rooms, a public canoe landing and plenty of tree lined hiking and picnic areas.

Klink Deer Park, located next to the Trempealeau River near our downtown area, offers a great place to relax. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the Whitetail deer.

Located just off Fox Street is the new Fox Ridge Speedway.  This 3/8 mile high banked clay track will host Friday night races through the summer.  Drivers compete in late Model, Modified, Super Stock, and Street Stock Divisions.  Race fans enjoy amphitheater like grandstands, geared to family entertainment.
The newest addition to our great recreation activities are our bicycle trails. Teamed with Trempealeau County Tours, a series of scenic and safe loops on paved back roads offers bicyclists 24-36 mile loops that allow you to park your vehicle in one of our communities and travel one of our routes and arrive back at your starting point.  We believe you will especially appreciate the sense of safety and hospitality offered by over a hundred rural families who serve as trail stewards along the loops.  Clearly marked, the stewards are available to offer assistance should it ever be needed.
Arcadia has been called a sportsman's paradise due to in great part on an active 300 member Sportsman's Club.  Sports enthusiasts will find something to their liking during any of the four seasons. If you are a hunter, the Arcadia area is well known for its excellent white-tail deer hunting season and the wild turkey season.  For the canoeists, the Trempealeau River offers a quiet trip as it winds through the countryside.  For snowmobiling, Arcadia links with both the Trempealeau and Buffalo County trails with views that match no others.  The trails are well marked and groomed to make your ride safe and enjoyable.
The Arcadia Country Club is open to the public and offers 9-holes of fun, but challenging play.
While in town, visit our downtown area and our 93/95 crossroads area. There you will find many family owned businesses that offer a wide array of merchandise.

Our aim is to make you feel like you are coming home.
