Hansen's Hold-up, a unique eating place, was established in November of 1997 and is located just a short 6 miles northeast of Arcadia on Hwy 95.  You will enjoy some of the most breathtaking beauty on your journey to Hansen's Hold-up as it sits atop a majestic Wisconsin hill with a panoramic view of the huge valley below.  You can enjoy this view while sitting on their deck enjoying a wonderful meal, a beverage of your liking or just plain good 'ol relaxation by the outdoor stone fireplace!  Enjoy a wonderful summer sunset on the ridge!
 

You'll always find Guy and Nancy ready to serve you either in their indoor smoke-free environment or on the deck outdoors. 

Hansen's has a full menu, from their delicious chicken strips to a fabulous 24 oz. Porterhouse steak.  This along with your favorite thirst quenchers, makes it the ultimate pit stop.

 

Their array of old collectible rifles, pistols, cap guns with holsters, their Breyer horse collection, old western lunch boxes and other western memorabilia will amaze you.  Be sure to look up to see all those extras encased in the ceiling of the Hold-up. 

Guy and Nancy have a love for the old Wild West and  were fortunate to have met Roy Roger's son, Dusty when they attended the Roy Rogers/Dale Evans estate auction in California in April, 2001.  While there, they purchased the cap gun and holster set, which is signed by the late Roy Rogers.  You will have a chance to view these well-displayed pieces of history as you dine at the Hold-up.

Directions to Hansen's Hold-up

From Arcadia:  Hwy 95 West to Hansen's

Approximately 6 miles of rising to the top!

 

From Fountain City:  Hwy 95 East to Hansen's

Approximately 12 miles of hilltop views!

Highway 95 will be closed to thru traffic beginning in April 2005 for 7 months of road construction.  (On the Fountain City hill only.  All other roads to Hansen's will be in good driving condition)   During that time, the road will be open from Arcadia to Hansen's.  If you are coming from Fountain City, you can reach Hansen's by using County YY to County M and then to Hwy 95.

 
Those who have visited the Hold-up often return with friends as they find no place around with a view like the one seen from the deck.
